I'm quite hooked on this now as you can see by the number of ititbits I have here. When I was a 7th grader in the 1970's, I had a pair of bell bottom jeans that I embroidered ALL over. I only wish I had them now. I drew pictures on them with a Bic pen during the day and then when I got home from school, I'd embroider my drawings. Some of the things I embroidered here would have been on my jeans.
Can you guess which ones?
Oh my gosh that is so awesome!!! I love these! I should learn how to make these... that beehive is adorable!
ReplyDeleteThey are so cute! Are you going to make them into something?
ReplyDeleteI looked at the embroidery video - and I think I can do it. I'm tempted - but so practical - what are we making?? :)
They are so cute! My guess is..the flowers and the mushrooms...Come say hi :D
ReplyDeleteI'm going with the "Love" LOL! your itybits are adorable -- you'll be caught up in no time!
ReplyDeleteJen,
ReplyDeleteThanks for your kind comments. You can do it, you just have to begin.
Island Sparrow,
We really aren't making any particular thing. It will just be a block with forty one-inch blocks of various things -- like a sampler. All free hand or whatever you want to do. It could be framed, I suppose.
Julie,
The mushrooms is right and some of the flowers.
Thimbleanna,
Yes, the LOVE is one that I embroidered in the 70's.
Jody
Jody, this is so cute! I love it. And I heart that teensy butterfly!! }i{
ReplyDeleteI did the same thing! I embroidered the word "butterfly" on one pair of wide legged denims. I copied a friend who added colored ribbons to the hems. I still have an old Young Life sweatshirt with a little garden of flowers stitched on the front. It reminds me of Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. LOVE your itibits.
ReplyDeleteThese are amazing. I love all the little details and getting them into these tiny squares is awesome.
ReplyDeleteI am guessing the love and the mushroom???Dianntha
