No, this is not an ad for Toyota....

This is a Gumbo Lily post about empty-nesting.
Yes, it is! We don't even own a Toyota.
We drive a Malibu! (and dirty old ranch pick-ups)

  1. G'day Gumbo Lily. Great ads. I don't have a Venza, but I do have a Toyota Echo. It's probably the best small car I have had, Take care. Liz...

  3. Hilarious! I am still laughing over, "My mom went to bed before making my dinner." That is very true around here. Good thing Jeff so values EARLY communal eating or that could very well happen here.
Thanks for the early morning chuckle, Jody friend!

  5. Too funny! Isn't it crazy how we kids worry and view our parents after we leave the nest?

  8. I liked the line, "I'm my parents only child. Except for my sister." whahaha That's funny.

Not sure what an empty nest is going to be like for me, but I get glimpses every now and then. I was actually home all alone yesterday for several hours. I had butterflies in my tummy because I felt so naughty.

  12. Thank you for the morning chuckle! I'm up waaaay tooo early on a Saturday morning here because my only child(ren) decided it would be cool to get up before six am on a Saturday. Maybe my humour will be better for the rest of the day :o).

    Blessings!
