Nighttime Cricket Chorus on
Vimeo.
I stepped out the door this evening to go shut the chicken coop door and this is what I heard. Sorry, but there's not much to video when it's dark except for the moon. This is a listening video, not a watching video. I hope you enjoy the Concert Chorus of the Crickets at my house. I did.
That's a lot of crickets!
ReplyDeleteWe had the same thing last night when we returned from some friends' house for dinner. I thought about recording it, too! Think of all the crickets tucked into the trees and resting on the summer earth!
ReplyDeleteI love night time sounds of crickets. We get that here, too, but I have noticed that at our new house (of two years) we don't hear the crickets or cicadas like we did in our old house. Maybe the ducks eat them? In our old house even during the day we could hear that hypnotizing drone of cicadas. Mysteries like this intrigue me. :)
ReplyDeleteI love listening to crickets. This time of year they are just fantastic, You got a nice shot of the moon too,
ReplyDeleteAs I watch the moon bobble gently in the dark like a buoy on water, I think of your hands holding the camera. That's nice!
ReplyDeleteI love crickets! Well -- I mean from afar. They're interesting to watch and I love the sound they make. So fun to hear yours!
ReplyDeleteEars ring (since menopause)same pitch as crickets so can't hear them :-(
ReplyDeleteOh, thank you!
ReplyDeleteI did like the way the moon was bouncing around in the video, as though dancing to the crickets' song. :-)
