That is just wonderful! I love how grouchy she looks in the first photo. I have to thank you for the bird watching inspiration. I have seen four new birds this year.
Ohmygosh! I'm hyperventilating over here for you!!! I've only ever seen owls in the wild once and I'd probably pass out if I could see the babies too! Can't wait to see more picture!!!
I watched a YouTube video showing a mother and dad owl and their owlets on a roof ledge. Some crows were pestering them, and I was surprised at how non-aggressive the owls were. They acted very nonchalant until the crows got very close and even then they just tried to make themselves look big by spreading their wings. I suppose if they felt really threatened they could do a lot of damage with their talons. They seemed to know they had the upper hand, lol. Have fun owl watching!
I hope Mama Great-Horned Owl doesn't think you're getting too close for comfort. Great pictures though.
ReplyDeleteHow fun! Great pics!

ReplyDeleteHow wonderful! You needed a lot of quiet patience to wait and capture the owlets as well as the adult owl on camera. Thank you for sharing.
ReplyDeleteAmazing! Love it! Have a good Memorial Day weekend!
ReplyDeleteOh, they are so darling! Do show us more.
