Flying kites way up to the moon!
Mr. Banks:
With tuppence for paper and strings
You can have your own set of wings
With your feet on the ground
You're a bird in flight
With your fist holding tight
To the string of your kite
Oh, oh, oh!
Let's go fly a kite
Up to the highest height!
Let's go fly a kite and send it soaring
Up through the atmosphere
Up where the air is clear
Oh, let's go fly a kite!
(Mary Poppins)
Love that song! And the airplane kite is mighty fine!
ReplyDeleteHow fun! I love their rosy cheeks!
ReplyDeleteOh How Fun!!! I love that song (well the whole story and movie too!) I haven't flown a kite in years -- thanks for the memories!!!
ReplyDeleteWe love kites, too...and Mary Poppins! What sweet pictures of your grand daughters.

So lovely and I sing that song every time we fly a kite. I love all of the sweet little faces, wanting to touch the moon with their kites.
ReplyDeleteAnd a good time was had by all!

I'm also a fan of the airplane kite! When I was in my late teens I loved to build model airplanes. WWII. Weird, huh? Glad to see you putting that wind to good use. Enjoy your spring! :)
ReplyDeleteWhat fun!
ReplyDeleteI love the song! the movie! Julie Andrews! Looks like you had some fun yourself.

I so miss flying kites. Too many trees here. I'm afraid I learned that the hard way. Glad to see kids outside having fun!

ReplyDeleteSuch fun!! Definitely adding kite-flying to the Grandchild to-do list!
