She has more buds and blooms than she has had all summer. She has been my splash of Beauty as I walk in and out the door every day (several times a day), and now that we are nearing the end of warm days, I know I will have to say good bye soon. I would love to bring her in for the winter, but I simply have no space for her. All good things must come to an end.
Flowers whisper "Beauty!" to the world, even as they fade, wilt, fall.

She IS pretty! I love geraniums and I wish I could keep them alive inside.
ReplyDeleteI like thinking about you going in and out, in and out. Have you been looking at the moon?
OH to bad because she is so very pretty. I always crave flowers in the dead of winter. I really do feel them life my spirits.
ReplyDeleteI bet she she makes you smile every single day.
Oh, she's beautiful Jody! I tried wintering geraniums one year but I must've done something wrong 'cause it didn't work! Happily, you have this beautiful picture to always remember your geranium!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beauty!! Would you have room to uproot her and hang her indoors? You mist her once in awhile and then in the spring, pot her up again and she should take root and grow again. I used to do that before too many kids ;o). Now I'm just very happy to have perennials.
ReplyDeleteBlessings!

Fabulous flowers! It is sad to think of them fading. I love the smell of geraniums and that red and white is just so cheery.
ReplyDeletegeraniums do great even with a cold snap (well on the east coast maybe not as cold as your area but they can take a frost or two)then we cut them way back in the pot and put them in our unheated garage for the winter(lightly watered and never remember to water again through the winter) they look scrawny come spring but perk right back up after a few good warm days. I have some that are 5 years old now doing them this way and so full of blooms that right now.Doesn't hurt to try. nancy settel sheepishgrin92@yahoo.com
ReplyDeleteG'day Gumbo Lily. She is just glorious. It would be worth going in and out the door just to see her. Take care. Liz...
ReplyDeleteMine has been lovely too, though not as full of leaves as yours...I'm trying to root a stem so hopefully can see if I can root more before it freezes and then over winter here in the house.
ReplyDeleteWe are able to overwinter these by putting them under the house. Of course, here in the south we don't have to worry about them freezing there with a little heat from the heat ducts. They look pitiful when spring comes, but potted up fresh, they soon revive.
