The itibits of stitching are complete!
I had great fun doing this and it was amazing
how many ideas for one inch squares popped into my head.
Now I am considering the Counting My Blessings Stitch-Along.
One hundred is a lot of squares.
I wonder if I give myself a year to complete it, if I will?
Or maybe the key is to stitch a square a day?
As with this project, some days I stitched 2 or 3 squares
and other days none.
I'm itching to stitch some vintage dish towels...

ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you posted this! Your sampler is beautiful and you know it really is a unique treasure. It tells a story that is yours. Maybe it can be a "point and tell" heirloom of special stories you pass on to others.

Great job on the sampler! There are so many cute ones, but I think my favorite is the robin. If you go for the redwork dish towels check out the book Redwork from the Workbasket by Rebecca Kemp. I just spied this book at the bookstore the other day...looks fabulous!

Love it. The robin, the robin's nest, and the meadowlark are my favorites. A good reminder of spring.
