Now she gives birth to her second lamb. Do you see the first little lamb in the foreground? I put the ewe and her lambs in the barn, and guess what? She had a third! Triplets! Things are getting busy!
Triplets!! She will be a busy mama. I know that lambing season is a very busy time for you, but it seems to me to be a wee bit magical. I love all the new life spring brings. Glad to see it is starting for another year. :-)
It makes me wonder how you have room in the barn for all those mothers and babies! Is it just for a short period of time so they're rotated? Sounds windy and cold. Stay warm, girl! :)
Such a sweet picture.
ReplyDeleteWow! Hang in there with all the action...

ReplyDeleteWow! She made that look easy, multi-tasking (licking the first lamb) while she gave birth to number two! Three! Wow! Thanks, Jody!
ReplyDeleteWow! Thanks for letting us have a look. Three! :)

ReplyDeleteI miss my sheep and lambing! Thanks for this post, Jody, it flames the fire to get sheep but not until I move.
ReplyDeleteTriplets are a good way to start the year. The video link you sent me was very informative. I can't wait until it warms up. Good luck with lambing.
ReplyDeleteWow -- poor little cold things! That's a tough way to start. Glad I had mine indoors :)
