Bright, bright sunshiny day....

Catching some rays in the backyard,
Catching up on my magazines,

Catching some breeze in my sleeves....

Catching some wind in my jeans.
It's been a bright, bright sunshiny day!

I can see clearly now the rain is gone,
I can see all obstacles in my way,
Gone are the dark clouds that had me blind.
It's gonna be a bright (bright),
bright (bright) sunshiny day.
It's gonna be a bright (bright),
bright (bright) sunshiny day.

  1. Oh, lucky you! I'm glad for you. Isn't it so invigorating to finally have some spring warmth? We've had some of that, too, but today... Snow and hard wind, and I don't think the temperature climbed above 34 degrees at our house.

Your clothes are really blowing! From what I know, on the prairie, you get strong spring winds (like we do here). Am I correct?

Enjoy that lovely weather! I'm glad you had time for a nice break in the sunshine. :-)

  2. Ha! I was trying to come up with all the words to that song today! What fun seeing the laundry blowing in a nice sunny breeze...

  3. Susan L.,
It was a glorious day! But we're going to get a little of your chill weather. We're expecting snow in the next day or so. Oh well, we need the moisture and it'll melt fast enough!

    Ellen,
Well, I'm glad you and I had the same song stuck in our heads! It was so nice to hang out the laundry today. The wind was sure giving them a whipping by the end of the afternoon.

  4. Gotta catch those rays when you can with the unpredictable spring weather. Don't you just love the smell of clothes that's been dried on the line? One of my favorite all time things.

  5. Jody,
All of your recent posts are great!
I must say though, that this is a favourite of mine....sunshine, birds, magazines, laundry in the breeze and the song you posted was one of my faves way back~thanks for the memories!
My bedsheets are 'blowin' in the wind, yes, they're blowin' in the wind' (another great song!)
Cath Kidston (yeah, it arrived!), Victoria, and um...can't read the other title but it must be good!)
    Hope you enjoy the sunshine!
    Back to work I go....
