outside my window......

..... beating out a rhythm and frequenting my feeder......

.......the Hairy Woodpecker (Picoides villosus)
The very similar Downy Woodpecker
stops in now and then too.

  3. Hi Jody - glad you stopped by to visit The Gardener Side of me. I love photographing the birds in the garden. Birds that are visiting our feeders are sparrows, juncos, chickadees, doves, cardinals, goldfinches, purple finches, nuthatches, bluejays, some black birds and starlings, the woodpeckers (hairy & downy).

  7. If I had a bird feeder, we'd be getting the same birds we always get - grackles, hummingbirds, finches, wrens, and the woodpecker.
