It's my morning cup of coffee comfort.

I never realized what wind we lived in until I was an adult. I thought learning to ride a bike on your gravel lane, in a zillion hour headwind was normal. Apparently not.

This is so well written. I linked you up-and hope that's alright.Cheyennehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02216810837548735987noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6095103946834851624.post-75165805849204721842012-08-28T19:24:22.157-06:002012-08-28T19:24:22.157-06:00Oh, the north wind doth blow!

We are at the very southern tip of the plains and in the winter when the cold winds whip down from the plains, it is bitter! In the summer the winds usually come up from the Gulf of Mexico and sometimes they are so strong I can pretend I'm at the beach. I'm sure your winds are quadruple what I have, so I can see why they stay on your mind.Angelahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11718137744623626322noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6095103946834851624.post-15338011738948222142012-08-28T14:33:49.408-06:002012-08-28T14:33:49.408-06:00Wow, you certainly live in the wilds! There is a LOT of wind down there and she complains about it, but it is so dang hot down there that if it weren't for the wind we would all end up burnt to a crisp. I kept telling her the wind was keeping her cool, but she mostly concerned with her hair. :DLeslie https://www.blogger.com/profile/11216448707277968516noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6095103946834851624.post-74458764388195299762012-08-28T08:26:06.464-06:002012-08-28T08:26:06.464-06:00I love reading your blog, too, and can sooo relate...I love reading your blog, too, and can sooo relate to this post! We have a lot of wind here, too! I am going to have to try your method for hanging clothes....why have I NOT tried that? The rock in the mailbox...totally doing that one. I usually just try and stuff mail to the very back of the box:). Wind is an amazing thing, and I love that it keeps our air so fresh and clean:).

~JuliaJuliahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05768321304726263558noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6095103946834851624.post-87699279316031543952012-08-28T07:55:54.625-06:002012-08-28T07:55:54.625-06:00I love reading about your life on the Prairie. Until we moved here, I didn't know the wind blew so much after living in the city for 20 years. Now I watch it and pay attention to it and I have come to appreciate it. Without wind our trees wouldn't put down deep roots.
I have found the same thing to be about trials.
So I love your observations about your life on the prairie and all that you see.Farm Girlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00998621464797636686noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6095103946834851624.post-54419365351283441752012-08-28T07:30:44.824-06:002012-08-28T07:30:44.824-06:00I like the idea of a prairie savage, though you se...I like the idea of a prairie savage, though you seem awfully civilized for that! I pay attention to the wind most often on my walks. Sometimes it just picks up out of nowhere, and I think it must be a sign that God is near. In the winter, when I start out on my walk, the wind always seems to be blowing in from the northwest straight at me, and it is bitter!

If Isaac starts coming this way, we will see some big winds. Always awesome, always scary.

xofrancesLeft-Handed Housewifehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15014518128739580267noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6095103946834851624.post-8616947844344993292012-08-28T03:58:04.414-06:002012-08-28T03:58:04.414-06:00I love reading your blog; this was a fascinating a...I love reading your blog; this was a fascinating article.
