  1. I like your art that you found, I also like your post about all of the farms and ranches around you. I love to learn about stuff like that. I have remodeled two kitchens. I now know enough to not talk about it. :)
Have fun. Do you know who Bess Streeter Aldrich is? A Lantern in her hand and White bird flying?
That is what I thought of when I looked at your top picture of Farmer on Tractor.
I do hope you have read those books, the ultimate in homesteading Nebraska.
Oh, I like Grand-mothering better than the word babysitting too.

  2. Farm Girl,
I'm glad you enjoyed the art and the ranches I pictured. Yes! I do know and love Beth Streeter Aldrich. She is one of my most favorite authors. Have you read her book, The Cutters? If not, you must!

  3. I like reading your conversation with Kim. You two are favorites of mine. I love the art, too. I grew up with scenery filled with farm fields and country roads and I love thinking about my precious homeland. I worked at a helicopter crop dusting company and had nice chats with the farmers. Sending LOVE to you this Sunday!

  5. These are awesome!

I have been on the hunt for some scenic something to hang on our walls in this home...if you ever know of some paintings of great prairie scenery or other suggestions-I would gladly take it! I have been hunting high and low...love all things old fashioned/country and think some prairie prints would remind us of how lucky we are to be stewards of the land.
