A Baking

When life gives you rotten bananas, make banana bread!

Fresh out of the pan!

Wheat bread made with molasses and some rye.

Please pass the butter!

  5. No "real recipe". I just use a favorite white bread recipe and replace about half of the white flour with a combination of whole wheat and rye. The flavor I love comes from the molasses. Add about 1/4 cup of it to a batch that makes two loaves for the sweetener.

  7. You ambitious one! You are such a go-getter and I admire your culinary proficiency!
Yummo! Wish I could pop in for some Lady Grey Tea and a slice of homemade bannana bread! Our bananas get devoured by everyone before I ever get the chance to bake banana bread...must buy double bunches next time!

  10. Beth,
This bowl and it's mate were given to me by my step-mom. She was going to throw them out. I like them and just recently saw a set in a Country Living or some magazine telling of their value. Well, mine are well-used, so probably not so valuable, but they do the job!
